Leon Logothetis is a global adventurer, motivational speaker, philanthropist, and author of the bestselling memoir The Kindness Diaries. He gave up his job as a broker and his home in London for a life on the road. Leon has now visited more than 100 countries and traveled to every continent. He is the host of the TV series The Kindness Diaries, now streaming on Netflix.
In watching Season 1 and most of Season 2 in the last week, I have found myself brought to tears laughing at Leon’s great sense of humor and his ability to sit with people in the midst of their lives. Tragedy exists in our world. And so much more exists that is good and Leon is taking an interesting journey to focus the lens upon people who choose kindness everyday.
Recently, Leon spoke via video conference with all of our students to tell his story and to share the simple wisdom of being KIND and doing GOOD in the world. Our students had some lighthearted as well as thought provoking questions for Leon. With all of his humor, candid self-reflection, and passion, Leon shared key aspects of the commitment we have to make to ourselves and those around us to be kind. He was so thoughtful in sharing how his own human story informs the journey he has been on as he documents kindness around the world. He told us his heart has become more open as a result of the kindness of others.
